Account deletion

You can delete your Çeyiz.co account from within the app at any time.

Delete in the app

1. Open the Çeyiz.co app and sign in.
2. Tap the avatars at the top to open Profile.
3. Tap “Delete account” and confirm.

If you can’t access the app

From the email address linked to your account, send an email with the subject “Account deletion request” to [email protected]. We will complete your request within 30 days at the latest.

Immediately after you delete your account

• You are signed out and notifications stop.
• Your data is no longer visible in the app.
• If your partner stays in the couple, the shared lists, budget, tasks, guest list, gold book and album stay with them; you leave the couple and a new invite code is created for your partner.
• If no one else is left in the couple, all of the couple’s data is hidden, and invitation links already sent stop working.

After 30 days, automatically

• Your personal data is anonymised: your name, email address, sign-in details (email and, if any, the Apple or Google link) and device notification records.
• If the couple was also deleted, the city, notes, event locations, the names of people who gave gifts in the gold book, the names of guests and the people coming with them, guests’ tables and notes, the names of album uploaders and the uploads’ IP hashes are also anonymised, and the album’s photo, video and audio files and the receipt files are permanently deleted.
• If your partner stays, the photos, videos and audio in the shared album stay with them; only your name as the uploader is removed.
• The records that remain (for example product name, amount, date) cannot be linked to anyone.

If you have a subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

If you sign in again

Signing in with the same email address creates a new, empty account. Even if you sign in before the 30 days are up, your old data is not restored.
